
COLORADO BLUE SPRUCE:

Pyramidal shaped with attractive colors ranging from gray-green to blue-green. Needles are 1”- 1 1/2” long, four sided and very sharp (prickly).
Prefers heavier soils, full sun, and clean cultivation.
The Blue Spruce is probably the most drought tolerant of all spruce trees.

Symmetrical cone-shaped evergreens with short, variably blue-green needles. Black Hill Spruce is a naturally occurring variety of White Spruce.
Compact ascending branches creating denser growth form for increased privacy.
Prefers rich moist soils and full sun, but also thrives in dry, well-drained soil. The Black Hill Spruce and White Spruce are fairly drought resistant, but do require additional moisture during droughts.

Small diameter branches sweep horizontally. Branchlets droop from the branches towards the ground in a graceful, weeping fashion forming a delicate pyramid.
The needles are single, angular or four-sided, yellow-green in color. ½” to 1” long and slightly curved
Prefers full sun, in wide variety of soils (clay, loam, sand, slightly alkaline, acidic, occasionally wet, or well-drained). Moderate drought tolerance.
